Crno and Melić
Crno (translates “black”) is a cove in the central part of Bakar gulf, overlooking its mouth. It’s famous for its deep and cool sea with a lot of fresh water springs. Wild beaches surrounded by pine trees are scattered around the coast. Melić is the most accessible and most popular of them, featuring a barbecue spot.
Bakarac
A cozy little place at the southeastern side of Bakar gulf, famous of the powerful “bura” wind and fisherman’s lookouts called “tunera”. They are mute witnesses of the specific technique of tuna fishing that was once a practice around these parts.
Quite a few of maintained and wild beaches with decent gastronomical offer in walking distance make this an interesting stop for your rest and relaxation. A nearby farm with horses is worth seeing as well.
Kraljevica
Recently restored castle is a dominating landmark in the area. It witnesses the rich and turbulent history of this small coastal city. Maritime and shipbuilding tradition can be felt and seen on every step of the way.

Oštro (beach and camp)
The whole area was named after the eponymous cape (translates “sharp”). Clear sea surrounded by vegetation and good amount of various content makes this one of the most popular beach and recreation destinations for the locals. The autocamp is for many years a favorite destination to many campers around the world.
Uvala Scott
A quiet cove in the vicinity of Krk bridge accommodates a hotel resort of elegant architecture and long tradition.
A cozy little restaurant featuring a sunny terrace right by the sea and a few boat berths could be the best place to relax with food, drinks and beautiful sunsets.
Gota and Beje
A group of rocks that rises from the sea bed between the islands Sv. Marko and Krk, not far from the bridge connecting them.
This is possibly the best spot for swimming and snorkeling in the wider area. Crystal clear sea and intriguing underwater landscapes are accessible only by boat.
In late spring and early summer they serve as a hatching ground for seagulls.
Kostrena
Municipality that is stretched all along the main Adriatic route between the cities of Rijeka and Bakar. It is the favourite rest and recreation spot for many inhabitants of Rijeka. Rich content and large number of beaches connected by a beautiful promenade ensure that anyone can find a place under the sun here.

Once a dock for ferries connecting island Krk with the mainland, today is famous of the restaurant with good food and owner who earned a status of a local legend.

Uvala Voz
The island end of the ferry line that was once connecting island Krk with the mainland. This relatively shallow cove surrounded by pebble beaches is now a popular summer destination, especially for families with children.

A town on the northern part of Krk island. From its hill it’s overlooking the capes and coves that surround it. The beaches are nice and tidy, with content to satisfy different tastes.
